Scope
This policy applies to the wantrest iOS app and the official wantrest website.
Data handled and why
The app handles the item name, price, an optional product page URL, dates and states for adding an item, “Still want it” and “Unsure” check-ins, decisions, and purchase confirmation, the cumulative days you felt you wanted an item, the number of days set before reviewing an item, and the rule used to calculate that number. This data is used only to provide the app’s item management, display of cumulative wanted days and days set before review, history, and device sync features.
Storage and iCloud sync
Data is stored on your device. When iCloud is available, it syncs through your private iCloud storage provided by Apple. If iCloud is unavailable, you can use the app with on-device storage only. Data is not stored on a server operated by the developer.
Sharing and external services
Your data is not sold or provided to advertising or analytics companies. Apple services are used for iCloud sync. After you choose to open a saved product page URL, the external website’s privacy policy applies. wantrest does not fetch the contents of product pages.
What we do not collect or use
The app uses no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs, does not track you for advertising, and does not connect to financial accounts.
Information handled when you contact us
If you email support@wantrest.com, the sender address, subject, message, and related details are used to answer your inquiry and provide necessary follow-up. External email services are used to receive and reply to messages, and messages may be retained for as long as needed to handle the inquiry. This information is not used for advertising or analytics.
Retention and deletion
Deleting an item hides it from the list and syncs this state when iCloud sync is in use. In the current version, the content and history remain on the device or in iCloud. Deleting an item does not permanently erase its stored data. Uninstalling the app may leave data in iCloud.
Website delivery
Cloudflare hosts the official website and processes connection information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect it. We do not install advertising or analytics scripts on the website.
Changes to this policy
If app features or data practices change, this page and its last-updated date will be revised. Important changes will be announced in the app or on the official website when appropriate.
